Authorities are sharing a sketch of a man they believed was involved in a shooting.

On April 25 in the area of College Avenue and Arlington Street, two men in their 20s were sitting inside of an SUV at around 5:30 a.m. when they were shot. Afterwards, the pair arrived at a hospital with serious gunshot wounds.

One man was treated and released, but the other's injuries were more severe. The second victim now has life-altering injuries.

Authorities have video footage of the incident which they are sharing. In the video, the victims' vehicle is shown stopped on a residential street, and four gunshots can be seen and heard. The white vehicle then drove away seconds after the shots were fired at them.

"The likelihood of people in this neighbourhood hearing the gunshots and being awakened and looking out windows, or perhaps of you are out walking a dog or having a cigarette on the porch, you may not realize it, but you may inadvertently seen this suspect," Constable Dani McKinnon says in a Tuesday press conference.

McKinnon says they have received many tips from this shooting which has helped them in the investigation.

"The suspect's whereabouts prior to the incident and immediately after are extremely important."

They cannot identify the shooter's position. McKinnon says this is not considered a random event, saying it appears to have been targeted.  McKinnon cannot share if other vehicles are involved.

Along with the video, police are sharing a composite drawing of the shooting suspect, whom they believe is in his late teens or early twenties. McKinnon says they could share a composite because they got a good description of the suspect from someone who saw him.
