Police have made arrests after three people were attacked early Saturday morning and left in critical condition.

The incident took place on the Osborne Street Bridge near the Legislative Building. The Winnipeg Police Service says that a 911 call was made at 2:30 a.m. on April 27.

Upon arrival, three adult males were located suffering from serious injuries. All three males were transported to hospital in critical condition and were later upgraded to stable condition.

The WPS says that police were able to find two suspects within 15 minutes of the 911 call and placed them under arrest.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation and believe that the three victims had been walking on the Osborne Street Bridge when they were confronted by the two suspects. A verbal argument escalated to a physical fight at which time the victims were stabbed.

Police say that the two groups were not known to each other before the incident.

Jameson Ly, a 21-year-old male of Winnipeg, and Anthony The Cuong Ross, a 21-year-old male of Winnipeg, have both been charged with three counts each of Aggravated Assault.

Both men have been detained in custody. The allegations have not been proven in court.
