The Winnipeg Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a young Black male found by officers near Baylor and Dalhousie at 10:30 this morning.

The individual, who is non-verbal, was discovered walking in the area but was unable to communicate where he lives. Efforts to confirm his identity and determine where he should be taken have been unsuccessful.

He is described as a thin male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, likely in his late teens or early adulthood. He has short black hair and a thin moustache.

At the time he was found, he was wearing a grey ribbed golf shirt and black Adidas track pants with gold stripes. Notably, he was not wearing any shoes or socks and had a band-aid on the middle toe of his right foot.

The Winnipeg Police Service is urging anyone who recognizes this description or has any information that could help identify this individual to contact the Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
