Three people are facing charges after a suspected home invasion.

Winnipeg Police Service officers were called to the 500 block of Stella Avenue early yesterday morning after receiving a report of a woman being robbed by a man at gunpoint.

Officers arrived at the scene at 7:39 a.m., noting the suspect was still armed with a firearm. With aid from the Tactical Support Team, officers brought three suspects into custody. While taking the trio in, officers seized the firearm, discovering it was an imitation.

Police believed the suspects committed a home invasion to rob the residents.

Three people are now facing charges including:

Mary Frances Chartrand, a 38-year-old female of Winnipeg, being charged with:

- Armed Robbery using a Firearm
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

Nikki Anne Cook, a 31-year-old female of Winnipeg, being charged with:

- Armed Robbery using a Firearm
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

They were detained in custody.

A 27-year-old male of Winnipeg is being charged with:

- Armed Robbery using a Firearm
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
- Assault with a Weapon

He was released on an Undertaking.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the Major Crimes Unit is continuing with the investigation.
