Traffic is flowing again along Portage Avenue after a portion of the busy thoroughfare was closed Tuesday.
At around 3 p.m. yesterday, emergency crews responded to a crash on Portage Avenue at the Empress Street overpass.
A large yellow metal piece of equipment could be seen lodged into the side of the overpass. Meanwhile, a black pickup truck had damage to its front end. A flatbed truck was also at the scene.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
Traffic was at a standstill throughout the afternoon rush. The scene remained closed for several hours before reopening to traffic shortly after 7 p.m.
Update(7:05 pm): Westbound traffic on Portage has been re-opened at Wall and the collision scene has been cleared.
