Manitobans are encouraged to get out and explore after the province announced free provincial park entry for February.

Vehicle permits will not be required in any provincial parks, but you will still need a Sno-pass for snowmobiles using groomed trails in the parks.

There are groomed trails in 13 of the parks that can be used for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, fat biking, snowshoeing, and hiking.

Spruce Woods Provincial Park, one of several parks in the province, offers outdoor skating areas, hockey rinks, and toboggan hills.

Manitobans will also have the chance to participate in a free fishing weekend from February 15 to 17, where a license is not required for fishing.
