Instead of people simply learning from their mistakes in business, this weekend Winnipeggers will have an opportunity to learn from successful leaders.

"It is this Saturday and we're having the Dr. John C. Maxwell 'Live to Lead' conference," says Danrey Amoyo, the lead pastor of Today's Church in Winnipeg. "We're super excited about it because we know it's something that will actually impact and transform lives."

The event is happening at Today's Church, located at 8 Chester Street.

"It's actually the very first here in Winnipeg," says Clarissa, an Image Transformation Coach. "It's a leadership simulcast event. Here in Winnipeg, you'll hear from local, world-class leaders. We are going to equip, excite, and inspire people to move forward towards their goals."

The conference is open to anyone ages 18 and up.

"We believe this conference is for people who have the passion to learn from people like Dr. John Maxwell," says Amoyo. "He's a name known throughout the world. In life, if there's one thing we've learned is that we all lead in life. If you're a mom, you're a leader. If you're a dad, a brother, you're a leader."

Business leaders and those working in an office setting will benefit from this one-day conference, according to Clarissa. It's a great opportunity for people to also connect with other local leaders.

"When you grow yourself, you grow your organization," she says.

Registration is open and can be found on their website. The conference runs all day on October 29 with registration at 8:30 a.m.
