One Winnipeg man is facing charges after dangerous driving on Tuesday night.

RCMP Central Traffic Services responded to a report of dangerous driving on the Perimeter Highway near the CentrePort exit, heading north at approximately 6 p.m.

Officers received multiple reports of a grey Chevrolet Traverse SUV swerving, changing speeds while nearly striking several vehicles.

As officers were responding it was reported that the suspect vehicle had struck a vehicle and fled. Officers located the suspect vehicle driving in the middle of the Perimeter Highway near Highway 9 and attempted a traffic stop, however, the vehicle did not stop and almost rammed another vehicle.

While attempting to stop the suspect, he rammed one of the police vehicles several times before officers were able to box the vehicle in and stop it, just off the Perimeter on Henderson Highway.
