RCMP in Manitoba say they are investigating after human remains were found at a residence in Oakville.
Mounties say officers from the Portage la Prairie detachment responded to a call regarding the remains on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the remains are not historic in nature.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating and the Forensic Identification Unit is attending the location.
Oakville is about 68 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
