Over 100 workers at Winnipeg's airport are on the picket line this morning.

The Winnipeg Airport Authority (WAA) said they were disappointed in the decision in a media release early Monday morning. "WAA tabled an offer at the start of mediation last week that included a 5 percent wage increase over the course of a 5 year agreement and a commitment to no layoffs as a result of any changing roles in the company. Yesterday WAA increased this offer to 7.5% in hopes of reaching an agreement," the WAA said.

Around 150 employees are now on strike after the WAA and the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees failed to come to an agreement by 3:00 a.m. today.
