The Winnipeg Police Service says that a search for a missing man has now been moved past the Perimeter, and are asking for people to help. 

Eduardo Balaquit has been missing since the evening of Monday, June 4, 2018. The WPS says they now believe that Balaquit was the victim of the crime and the Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.

Police say that they have now expanded the search beyond the city limits, specifically, into the area around Arborg, Manitoba.

The WPS is requesting that residents and businesses check their properties and outbuildings as well as consider reporting anything suspicious that may have occurred during the evening of Monday, June 4, 2018. Investigators request that if anything suspicious is located that nothing be touched and the area not be disturbed. Instead the public is asked to call investigators at the number below.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone with information regarding Mr. Balaquit’s whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crimestoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

We are also asking any businesses or individuals to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 if they have video surveillance in or around the 300 block of Keewatin Street and have not yet spoken with police.

Members of the Homicide Unit have taken charge of the investigation and believe that Eduardo was the victim of a crime.
