Two males from Selkirk are facing a number of charges after a traffic stop in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Selkirk RCMP conducted a traffic stop shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Main Street in Selkirk.

While speaking with the driver and passenger, officers noticed a knife inside the vehicle. Officers arrested the driver and passenger for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

After searching the vehicle and the males, RCMP seized $4,500 in cash, prescription medication, other suspected drugs, and weapons.

Both the driver and the passenger now face a number of charges and were released from custody with an upcoming court date.
