Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Manitoba.

(9:10 p.m.) - Tornado warnings have been issued for parts of western Manitoba including Virden, Melita, and Kenton. Severe thunderstorm warnings are also in effect for parts in the West of the province. The map below continues to be automatically updated with the latest watches and warnings.


(3:25 p.m.) - All of southern Manitoba is under a severe thunderstorm watch, from the northern part of Lake Winnipeg to the US border.


Update (1:25 p.m.) - Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches across the Red River Valley. The conditions are favourable for the development of strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.


Environment Canada is tracking a storm north and east of Pilot Mound. The storm is capable of producing strong winds, along with nickel to ping pong ball sized hail.
