The third annual Share the Warmth campaign has kicked off in Winnipeg in support of Siloam Mission.

The Manitoba Moose announced its third annual Share the Warmth Drive this past Friday. In partnership with Red River Co-op, the Moose are collecting new or gently used winter clothing to donate to Siloam.

"[We] are very passionate about the community and giving back," said Kory Harnum, the Manager of Community Relations with the Moose.

The Moose are looking for coats, gloves, mitts, toques and scarves, which can be dropped off at any Red River Co-op location until Thursday, November 30. You can also bring your donation to the Share the Warmth game, Saturday, November 19.

"Anything that will assist in keeping people warm this winter we will accept," Harnum said.

When you donate, you'll also get entered into a draw for prizes, including a team autographed Moose jersey or tickets to the Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday, December 9.

"The motive is that opportunity to give back and make that difference in the life of someone who requires [warm clothing]," Harnum said.

The Share the Warmth Drive runs until Thursday, November 30. Moose players will drop off the clothing at Siloam in December.

"Organizations like Siloam Mission are doing great things," Harnum continued. "They have a great group of staff . . . they are doing what they can so we [are doing] what we can."
