While the Trans-Canada Highway has reopened, several other highways remain closed in Manitoba Wednesday morning due to poor visibility and difficult road conditions.

After an early taste of spring on Tuesday winter quickly made its presence known by evening.

Winds gusting over 70 km/h and snow severely hampered visibility throughout much of southern Manitoba. Many major highways were closed as a result. That included Highway 1 from Winnipeg to Brandon at one point before it reopened overnight.

Current closures as of 6:30 a.m.:

Hwy 2: Starbuck to St. Claude

Hwy 3: Sperling to S. Jct Highway 34

Hwy 13: Carman to Highway 1

Hwy 14: Rosenfeld to Highway 3

Hwy 23: Highway 3 to Highway 21
