A Winnipeg restaurant chain embroiled in allegations of wide-spread workplace harassment has announced the firing of their vice president, Grant Anderson.

Stella's Cafe & Bakery made the announcement on social media Wednesday evening. In a post entitled "Update from Tore and Lehla," Stella's owners Tore Sohlberg and Lehla Abreder said that an independent investigation continues. However, they wrote, "The information uncovered through the review process supports the decision to release Grant Anderson from employment at Stella’s Cafe and Bakery."

Anderson was one of two managers placed on leave in November when allegations began to surface in a social media campaign labelled #notmystellas. Regional manager Brad Burrows remains on leave while the investigation continues.

Stella's obtained the services of People First, a human resources company, to investigate the claims, and the company's policies.

The post concluded saying, "we are continuing to implement permanent, positive change that we are confident will ensure Stella’s is a respectful, safe, supportive and healthy workplace."

On December 1 the owners of the company also published a video, apologizing to current and former staff.
