Winnipeg singer-songwriter Steve Bell picked up even more Covenant Awards, but he isn't finished yet.

The GMA Covenant Awards took place last month and, like many other years, Bell left with multiple awards. He won Inspirational Song of the Year for Wait Alone in Stillness and Album of the Year for Where the Good Way Lies.

But the big award this year for Bell was the Lifetime Achievement Award, which both he and his manager won separately.

"There's a deep feeling of satisfaction about it that you've stayed for the long haul," Bell smiled. "I don't feel by any means done, and hopefully no one else does."

He may not be finished yet, but Bell has been focusing on a number of things outside of music. He's currently writing a book series that he is hoping to have out by January and has spent more of his time teaching over the past year.

Of course, the music remains. Bell is working on an album right now but couldn't give any hints on it because even he isn't sure what he is doing.

"People think (Dave Zeglinski) and I have some grand scheme going into an album," Bell laughed. "We hit the record button and see what comes out."

Bell doesn't plan to retire from music or from his advocacy work anytime soon.
