Winnipeg Blue Bomber legends such as Khari Jones and Wille Jefferson are vocalizing their support in the Black Lives Matter movement.
The death of George Floyd is moving players to share their own experiences and support for the Black community.
Current Blue Bomber Willie Jefferson and his wife Holly both took to Twitter this week to share their reaction to the killing of George Floyd.
If you don’t feel some type of way about what’s going on in the black community and you call yourself my friend/teammate/colleague/roll model/or see me as someone that provides hope or a positive outlook for you or someone you care for we need to honestly cut all ties

I have completely stop posting selfies, videos, or content because I DO NOT in any way shape or form make light of the murder of #GeorgeFloyd or suggest that I’m ok because I just like my community are not ok.

I will continue to shine my light and focus on what matters.
Former Winnipeg Blue Bomber and now CFL Head Coach Khari Jones recently shared that he has experienced racism, including death threats while playing for Winnipeg. He told the CFL that he still has the threatening letters.
"The inhumanity of it was something that struck a chord," he tells the CFL over a video call.
When seeing the death of George Floyd, Jones says he was angered.
I can’t stop thinking about George Floyd. He is me. Breonna Taylor is my daughters. I’m angry, hurt, and sad.

Milt Stegall also took to Twitter, calling for people to stand united.
If you’re not making your position known, your position is known. @cfl #unity #standtogether #PaperPlates https://t.co/NoonjSOZaR
