"Can't believe it!" is how the southern Manitoba group described their reaction to the news last night.

The Color had made their way to Vancouver to take in the Juno Awards.

The band was nominated for contemporary Christian/gospel album of the year for their album First Day of My Life.

In fact, it was a Made in Manitoba packed category, with Jon Neufeld and Love & the Outcome (Jodi King and husband Chris Rademaker) also being nominated.

In the end, however, it was The Color who took home the hardware.

Lead singer and band co-founder Jordan Janzen said "We are speechless and all smiles!" in an online post after the award show.

The band has been hard at work continuing to tour the album which won them the award, In April they will head out for a western Canada tour and have a number of dates booked for summer festivals too.
