Middle school students share Christmas cheer with St. James neighbourhood

Christmas has come early for one neighbourhood in Winnipeg as Bruce Middle School students hang some hand-painted ornaments in front of the hospital.

Coptic Christmas carol births new life to ancient language

A dimly lit New York church filled with congregants recently enjoyed a small choir singing the ancient Egyptian language depicting the birth of a Saviour.

Calvary-St. George's Episcopal Church in New York had nothing but candlelight illuminating their space as 1,000 people enjoyed a Christmas carol in Coptic, a language from ancient Egypt. Coptic also refers to first-century Egyptian Christians, but now both orthodox and evangelicals are referred to as Copts.

Transcriptions found in canals believed to be earliest Biblical manuscripts

An Israeli professor believes he found ancient transcriptions from Judean King Hezekiah's reign and calls it "one of the most important archaeological discoveries in Israel of all time."

Professor Gershon Galil is the head of the Institute for Biblical Studies and Ancient History at Haifa University in Israel, he worked alongside Eli Shukron, from the Bible and Ancient History research institute to decipher Hezekiah's name on a palm-sized limestone tablet discovered in 2007.

Kids from Ukrainian orphanage enjoy their first year in the Southeast

In February of this year, Trish Braun returned to Canada with their second set of siblings from an orphanage in Ukraine. The family of seven, now becoming a family of 10.  

This was Trish and Mike Braun’s second adoption from the orphanage. Their first time around, in 2019, resulted in adding three children, who were also siblings, to their family of four.

Three-year-old receives heart procedure and generous donation from strangers

Anaiah, a three-year-old from Grunthal, recently had to get a catheterization in Edmonton.
