The Winnipeg Football Club has released its transportation plan for fans travelling to and from Investors Group Field for Blue Bomber games this season.

Fans driving to the game can either pre-purchase their parking passes or pay upon arrival in the gold, blue or value lots. Parking in the lots will cost anywhere from $10- $20 per vehicle.

There is a new route 7 Park & Ride location at St. Vital Centre in front of The Bay. This location replaces the Southdale Red River Co-op location. This was necessitated due to construction that will start soon in the Southdale Centre parking lot. All other Park & Ride locations have remained the same as last season.

There are 7 Park & Ride locations in total including: McPhillips Station, Club Regent, Centre Scolaire Léo-Rémillard, Manitoba Hydro on Taylor, Assiniboia Downs, St. Norbert Hotel and the new St. Vital Centre location. This service, which costs $5, starts two hours prior to kickoff, with the last buses leaving for the stadium 15 minutes prior to kickoff. The last buses leave the stadium approximately 20 to 35 minutes after the game.

Also this year, the Soccer Lot on Chancellor Matheson Road is no longer a cash parking lot, and is now only available to fans who have purchased the green seasonal soccer lot pass.

There is also fully secure and monitored bike storage for 800 bicycles for those who choose to cycle to the game.

And again this year the Bombers will be running their free Running Back Shuttle, which goes in a clockwise loop around the University of Manitoba Campus.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers kick off their 2018 season this Thursday at 7:30pm against the Edmonton Eskimos at Investors Group Field.
