The Fringe Festival will close down a street in the downtown area this weekend.

King Street between Bannatyne Avenue and William Avenue

The Winnipeg Fringe Festival will be closing part of King Street starting Friday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m. and running until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24. Pedestrian access is maintained, possibly even encouraged, as there will be lots happening at Fringe. Find our family-friendly Fringe guide online.

Notre Dame Avenue between Weston Street and Midland Street

Notre Dame will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic starting Friday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m. between Weston and Midland. There will be railway crossing repairs being done. The street will reopen by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23. Pedestrian access is still available.

Sterling Lyon Parkway between Kenaston Boulevard and Wilkes Avenue

Eastbound and westbound Sterling Lyon will be down to one lane over the weekend for road work. This is the road between Ikea and Outlet Collection. Repairs should be finished by Tuesday, July 25 in time for afternoon rush hour.

Nairn Avenue between Stapleton Street to Panet Road

The eastbound curb lane on Nairn will be closed for communication work this weekend and through til next week. Repairs last until Friday, July 28 at 3:00 p.m.

River Avenue between Mayfair Place and Clarke Street

River Avenue at this location will be reduced to one lane to repair utilities. Starting Monday, two lanes will be open during rush hours. Repairs will finish Friday, July 28.
