A low-pressure system that dumped 20 centimetres of snow on parts of south-eastern Manitoba is now leaving cold temperatures in its wake.

Average daytime highs for this time of year are 13 to 15 degrees.

CMOS accredited weathercaster Chris Sumner says that we can expect to be well below that until early next week.

"Well below average temperatures will be the story from now, through to early next week. Our average daytime high from now until Saturday will range from just plus two to eight degrees."

The overnight lows will also be below average Sumner warns.

"(They'll) dip between zero to minus three. Normall we should be around plus two.

"The long range forecast is suggesting, though, a return to average temperatures sometime early next week."
