The Winnipeg Jets have clinched a spot in the 2024 Stanely Cup playoffs after defeating the Calgary Flames Thursday evening.

It was an extra exciting game for Gabriel Vilardi, who scored his first career hat trick, which ultimately led the team to defeat the Flames 5-2.

“We’ve got a good team here. And we’ve got a good bunch of guys. So, there was never any doubt. It’s nice to put that behind us. And now we push forward," said Rick Bowness following the game.

Winnipeg has six games to prepare for the playoffs. The Jets next four games will be on the road, beginning in Minnesota on Saturday, where they will take on the Wild in an afternoon game.

This is the Jets sixth postseason appearance since 2017-2018.
