The City of Winnipeg lit up city hall last night with a tree lighting after all.

After October's early snowstorm the City announced that a Christmas tree would not be placed at city hall this year as forestry crews were too busy cleaning up in the aftermath.

However, the City decided to purchase an artificial tree and erected it this week.

The City says the tree has a 10-year warranty and will pay for itself within two years thanks to cost savings.

Real or fake?
