A 22-year-old Winnipeg man is facing sexual assault charges after luring two girls in their early teens. 

Winnipeg police say between March and April 2024, the man used social media to chat and lure the girls, posing as a 17-year-old boy. He was eventually able to gain their trust, form a relationship and later sexually assault them. 

The man, identified as 22-year-old Kalib Naseebb Debusschere, was arrested on May 14 without incident. He faces several charges including sexual assault, sexual interference x 2 and luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication x 2. 

He was released on a court order prohibiting contact with individuals under 18.
