A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been located by RCMP.

RCMP are looking for a suspect with a Canada-wide warrant after a Wednesday night search had unsuccessful results.

On Wednesday evening, RCMP officers, along with RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services in tow, gathered at a Powerview home, looking for a man with an outstanding warrant and believed to be in possession of a machine gun.

At 8:10 p.m. the team arrived at the home looking for 29-year-old Winnipegger Dylan Lennon Atkinson but did not find him inside.

RCMP are continuing to look for the suspect for Uttering Threats and a Canada-wide warrant for violating parole.

"Atkinson is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him. Contact police immediately," RCMP Manitoba says in a statement.

The suspect is also facing Break, Enter and Commit Robbery; Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm; Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order; Aggravated Assault; and Assault with a Weapon charges.
