Two people are in custody following a weekend shooting in the West End.

Winnipeg Police General Patrol Units with the assistance of officers from the Tactical Support Team and K9 Unit were called to a parking lot in the 1300 block of St. Matthews Avenue, near Empress Street at around 11:25 p.m. Friday.

Customers reported that a male, along with a female, fired multiple shots at a group of approximately seven people.  Two of the victims in the group were youths under the age of 15.

No one was injured and the suspects fled the scene.

The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation which led officers to an apartment on Adsum Drive where they arrested 20-year-old Jayden Riley Derksen and 18-year-old Kara-Leigh Traverse

Both accused face a long list of charges and remain in custody.
