UPDATE: Winnipeg police have safely located Melissa Duck.

Winnipeg police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a hospital patient who left before receiving care. 

Police say at around 8 p.m. on Sunday they received a message from Grace Hospital that an adult female patient, who had been airlifted from a remote northern community, had left before receiving medical treatment.

Medical staff say they are concerned for the well-being of the patient, who has been identified as 42-year-old Melissa Duck. They believe her condition is potentially life-threatening.

Duck is described as an Indigenous female. She is approximately 5’6” with a medium build and long, dark-colored hair. She was last seen wearing dark clothing.
