The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating an incident where an older male is believed to have offered four young females (between 3-12 years) cigarettes, asked them where they lived and may have followed them.

On June 23, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the girls had been playing at a playground after-hours at Mulvey School in the Wolseley neighbourhood when the male approached them.

He was later confronted by a parent and left the area.

The male is described as being white, 60 to 70 years old, having a slim build, “shaggy” grey hair, and a white moustache with stubble. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt, black pants and black shoes with sunglasses on his head.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Child Abuse Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at either 204-986-6868 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
