On average, Winnipeg will hit 30-degree heat about 13 times a year, but is our 26th plus-30-degree day of 2018.

There's no question that Winnipeg has seen a hot summer this year.

The amount of scorching days we've seen so far this year, however, continues to astound. As of 4:00 p.m. yesterday, Winnipeg hit its 25th day over the 30-degree mark for this year, and today just before 4:00, it became the 26th.

It's the most amount of days over 30 degrees the city has seen since 1988 when the 30-degree mark was reached a record 34 times.

Temperatures might subside somewhat over the weekend. For a look at the next five days, click here.
