A 29-year-old woman from Winnipeg has gone missing after a distressing message to friends on June 6, 2024.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., Whitemouth RCMP received a report regarding Brittany Dawn Storey, who was last known to be in the Rennie area, approximately 100 kilometres east of Winnipeg.

Storey, during a group chat with friends, reportedly announced she had struck a tree. Shortly after this alarming message, the call was abruptly disconnected. Despite numerous attempts, her friends have been unable to reestablish contact with her.

Authorities have since been patrolling the area between Rennie and Winnipeg, including various back roads, in search of Storey and her vehicle—a white 2016 Dodge Journey with Manitoba licence plate LFR 884. However, there have been no sightings or signs of either.

Concerns for Storey's well-being are mounting as she has not shown up for work or returned to her residence in Winnipeg. Moreover, her absence from social media has further alarmed her family and friends.

Brittany Dawn Storey is described as being six feet tall and weighing 130 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. The police are currently working to obtain an unfiltered photo of her to aid in their search.
