Woman in unstable condition after Windsor Park apartment fire

One woman is in unstable condition in hospital after an apartment building blaze in Windsor Park Saturday evening.

The fire began in a four-storey multi-family apartment complex in the 1000 block of Autumnwood Drive near Cottonwood Road on June 6.

"I heard a commotion outside, and then the fire alarm go off, so I went outside to see what was happening," says a resident who lives in the building below the burning apartment.

"A lady was stuck on the balcony and was panicking while people were talking to her from below," the resident continued. "It was clear what was going on from the smoke coming out of the windows, her panic, and the smell of fire."
