A woman was going back inside her home after taking out the garbage when a male with a knife forced his way inside and demanded money.

Police say the home invasion took place in the North Kildonan area in the 200 block of Edison Avenue just before midnight Friday.

The victim received minor injuries but did not need medical attention.

The male suspect is described as male, in his mid-to-late 20s and about six feet tall. He has an average build and a dark complexion and was wearing a black jacket and baseball cap. The suspect was clean-shaven.
