The word and worship event known as The Uncuffed will be a time of singing, dancing, and praising God at the Convention Centre this Friday.

Yettie Adewumi is the co-pastor with her husband at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Rhema Sanctuary in Winnipeg.

"My hope for The Uncuffed is for people to be relieved of all their pain, struggles, trials, and challenges," says Adewumi. "I'm seriously trusting God that this is the moment we've been waiting for. I'm hoping there's going to be a shift in the atmosphere."

Adewumi shares how hard the pandemic has been on people as a whole, as well as church congregations.

There will be a few speakers at the event as well as musical artists like Fresh IE from Winnipeg as well as Tim Reddick who used to be a part of Maverick City Music.

"Tim Reddick is an amazing worshipper. He's been in our church once before in 2018 or 2019 and he just had a few minutes to minister but we said, 'You've got to come back.'"

Praise and worship is such a valuable part of people's lives, according to Adewumi.

"It is in the worship that we are blessed. It is in the worship that our pains and worries are taken away. Praise makes a way to give us access to the treasures of this land."

Apostle Brian Meadows from Atlanta, GA will be delivering the main message during The Uncuffed.

"I got to know him on TikTok. I listened to his messages and called my husband saying you need to hear this man of God and the words of wisdom coming from him. We have a number of young adults in our church and we thought, this man needs to speak to destiny."

The theme for The Uncuffed is being a product of grace. To purchase tickets for the event starting at 6:00 p.m. on October 21, click here. Ten per cent of all the proceeds are going to the Red Cross emergency fund for victims of the post-tropical storm Fiona on Canada's east coast. Another 10 per cent of proceeds will bless Siloam Mission in Winnipeg.

"God is ready for us. Are we ready for Him? The Bible says that He is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Please, join us!"
