Two men are being investigated after search warrants discovered a stolen passport and numerous drugs inside two Winnipeg locations.

On Thursday while executing a search warrant in Winnipeg, the Winnipeg Police Service and Portage la Prairie RCMP arrested a 34-year-old man from Portage la Prairie. At the time, the suspect had 11 grams of purple heroin and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

This investigation continuing with no charges laid at this time.

The arrest of the 34-year-old led the RCMP to investigate a second Winnipeg location. Portage RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, and officers out of RCMP “D” Division Headquarters all ventured to a residence on Home Street in Winnipeg to execute a follow-up search warrant.

While at the home, officers found cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills, ecstasy, a stolen bike, and a stolen passport.

A 48-year-old man from Winnipeg is now facing charges related to the follow-up search. RCMP say this investigation is continuing.
