Elmwood group thanks community after stolen trailer found
A neighbourhood renewal corporation is thanking the public for assistance after their stolen trailer was found. On September 1, Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal asked residents to keep an eye open for a stolen shed and trailer. The trailer was made by a local group and designed to be mobile and taken on the road to events that bring the community together. On Wednesday, the group shared on social media that the trailer had been found. "Because of your caring, love, and watchful eyes, someone was able to report a sighting of our trailer and the police were able to recover it." While it was returned, the group has not received all of the stolen items back. "Unfortunately, the items, equipment, and supplies stored on or inside the trailer were not returned with it." Despite the still missing items, the group is thankful for the community's support. "While this is difficult news, we are truly grateful to have the trailer back home. Most importantly, we are thankful to know that our community is looking out for us."
