January:

Winnipeg server finds her $1000 tipper

2017 started off unexpectedly for Jennifer Peitsch. Peitsch was serving tables at a Winnipeg restaurant when a customer left her a $1,000.00 tip.

Winnipeg Beach was home to a spectacular art show made by nature.


Two Manitoba past times collide with Crokicurl

The Forks debuted Crokicurl. It instantly became a hit, and garnered attention from around the world.


Help area family dealing with second tragedy

A family in Kleefeld was hit with a second blow in a short time. After losing their son in a car accident a couple months earlier, the Bool family's home burned down. The community quickly banded together.


"A community that bands together is a stronger community"

A husband and wife that were involved in the car accident that took the life of the Bool's son spoke out after the house fire. They encouraged others to surround the family.


February

Winnipeg teen hangs on to faith to battle condition

Tianna Kowalson is a pretty typical Winnipeg high school senior. However, her medical condition is anything but typical - in fact, it only affects 1 in every 30 million people under the age of 17.


Helping refugees with love and care

Refugees crossing the border was a major story in 2017. Love-N-Care Ministries talked about how they seek to help refugees in Manitoba.


Youth ministry named non-profit of the year

A Winkler youth ministry was honoured by the Winkler Chamber of Commerce.

The first-ever ONE Worship Night took place on the last Saturday of February. The city-wide worship event has been continuing strong ever since.
