The Winnipeg Police Service is looking for several suspects in an incident over the weekend that saw four young people shot with a BB gun.

Police say the incident occurred outside of school hours on Sunday afternoon, while four youths were in the schoolyard of Champlain School.

The four youths were confronted by five to seven male suspects. The suspect pulled out BB-guns and shot at the victims.

All four of the victims were hit, however, none sustained any significant injuries. Police say that the suspects fled on foot.

The victims were not students of the school.

A Winnipeg Police Service School Resource Officer (SRO) spent Monday at the school to assist staff and students with any questions.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
