It was the largest pro-life event in history at Times Square and even protesters were left in silence at a special moment.

Focus On The Family arranged to do a live 4D ultrasound on multiple big-screens n in New York City's Time Square on Saturday, May 4. The event was called "Alive from New York." The ultrasound was of Abby Johnson's baby.

Johnson is a former Planned Parenthood director who left the abortion industry and is the focus of the movie Unplanned. Johnson is in her third trimester.

Focus set up the event in reaction to New York's controversial abortion bill that was signed earlier in 2019. It featured multiple pro-life speakers, including people who survived abortion.

20,000 people turned out at the event at the world's most famous intersection.

Focus on the Family President Jim Daly says "It was like God's peace, Shalom, hitting a chaotic intersection. You could feel it."

Daly says that as the images of the 4D ultrasound came on to the screen, and the baby's heartbeat played on speakers throughout the intersection, a hush fell over the crowd. He says even protesters fell quiet, and all that could be heard was the heartbeat and a few cheers from the crowd.

Ashley Bratcher, who plays Abby Johnson in Unplanned, also spoke at the event.

Bratcher shared how both the movie and event weren't meant as judgment, but rather grace and redemption for those who are hurting from the effects of abortion.

"Brothers and sisters, this encouraging admonishment was for all of us. This encouraging admonishment *is* for all of us," Focus wrote in a post to social media after the event. "Stay steadfast. Lift your prayers to heaven. Lift the name of Jesus high. Love the Lord your God. Love your neighbours as yourself. Be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to moms and babies in your communities. Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."
