A local realtor has found a fun way to build community, create memories, and spread cheer.

On Thursday, June 14, Nicole Hacault and her team will host Chalk It Up, inviting people living in River Park South to decorate their community path with sidewalk chalk.

"Over the last couple of years, we all kind of came apart and we're all very singular," said Hacault. "I want those moments where we're all together and doing something fun."

She says the path is about 2 1/2 kilometres long, and Nicole hopes to see the entire area covered with colour.

"Our goal is to cover the entire path from Aldgate Park to Berlin school in River Park South in sidewalk chalk. We've got all the schools along the path on board," said Hacault. "They're going to be going out with their kids and colouring during recess, breaks and classes. We want to get the community out there colouring, making beautiful art, bringing people together and having fun."

The all-day event is set to take place on Thursday, June 14 from Aldgate Park to Burland School in River Park South.
