Members of the CAIN family are in mourning following the tragic death of their 4-year-old nephew.

"Our sweet nephew Beau is in heaven now, and that reality is nearly too much to bear. But we believe “goodbye is not the end,” now more than ever," said the band in a post on social media.

According to WHNT News 19, 4-year-old Beau Clark died after being mauled by a dog on a private driveway. Beau's father attempted to rescue him and was injured in the process. He was treated at the hospital and is now home recovering.

Beau was taken to hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.

The dog involved was put down at the scene.

"There’s a multitude of people that woke up today just hurting, and they had to go do things that require superhuman strength,” said Mike Wafford of the MCSO to WHNT News 19. “Those teachers that had to go be in those classrooms where kids that were friends or kids that were in the classroom with these people, our heart goes out to them.”

WHNT News 19 says authorities told them that families who live in the community where the incident happened attended church together, and their children attended the same schools.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family as they continue to deal with this tragic loss.

"Beau’s parents Hailey and Kevin have been the most powerful example of glorifying Jesus in their pain," said CAIN in a social media post. "It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Please pray for our family."
