Union Gospel Mission is looking to return the heirloom to its rightful owners after what they believe was an accidental donation.

Volunteers found a wedding ring in the pocket of a clothing donation two weeks ago. UGM has not found the owner yet despite their best efforts.

"We are trying to find who the ring belongs to," Martin Chidwick, UGM's development manager, says.

The ring was discovered to be 80-100 years old and was found in a box. The organization thinks the donation was a mistake and hopes to return it to its owners.

"It would be nice to find the story behind it," he says. "At one point a man put it on a lady's finger and they were in love."

UGM would like you to call 204-943-9904 if you believe the heirloom may be yours.
