Chris Tomlin was getting on a plane when he was told something that he wasn't expecting.
“I am truly at a loss for words… I hopped on a plane yesterday to start a tour that is completely sold out and found out on the flight that ‘Holy Forever’ has been nominated for a Billboard Music Award…” Tomlin shared to The Christian Beat.
"Since I was young I have felt a calling on my life to help give people a voice to worship God and to see a song connect with so many people around the world is something I’ll never take for granted." He said on social media.
Those that were able to grab tickets for "An Evening of Worship," get to hear new songs from Tomlin's album, Always including the Grammy-nominated, 'Holy Forever'. Which holds its own accolades in Tomlin's career.
The single marks the 21st #1 single in his career, and also made history holding down the #1 spot on a radio chart for over three years over 158 weeks.
Other number one radio singles from Tomlin include: 'Good Good Father', 'I Lift My Hands', 'Our God', 'Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)' and 'How Great Is Our God', among others.
