Public health officials in Manitoba are confirming there are no new cases of COVID-19 in our province.

As of Tuesday at 9:30 am, the total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Manitoba remains 314.

The data also shows:

  • no individuals in hospital or intensive care,
  • 14 active cases and 293 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19, and
  • the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at seven.

An additional 581 laboratory tests were performed yesterday. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 58,801.

Starting at the end of May, personal care homes were permitted to host visitors outside. Now, the Government of Manitoba is looking for an alternative solution and is asking for the public for its conceptual designs for personal care home shelters.

The shelters will be outside, but close to personal care homes to allow for year-round visits. They must be accessible, protected from the elements, easily cleaned and provide a space for quality connections.

The province says design solution requirements will be posted on June 26 and submissions will be taken for one week.
