A dog has been brought to safety after a fire Monday morning. 

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a call at 8:12 of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single family home in the 300 block of Duffield Street. 

Crews fought the fire from the inside upon arrival and declared the blaze under control at 8:45 a.m.

No occupants were found by crews after searching the residence. Crews rescued a dog from the home and brought it to safety. There were no injuries reported. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
