To showcase the beautiful nature of Christ, Elevation Worship's newest album is titled LION with a picture of a lamb on its front cover.

"Everything we do stems first from being the expression of worship coming from Elevation Church. In other words, without Elevation Church, there is no Elevation Worship," says lead singer Chris Brown to New Release Today.

LION has 15 songs on it and was officially released this past Friday.

"In the wildest plot twist, Jesus conquers death once and for all, but instead of doing it by a forceful takeover, He conquers through crucifixion," says Brown. "The Lion conquers by suffering as a sacrificial lamb."

This album was written in a different style than other Elevation Worship records.

"We didn't start writing with a particular album or end goal in mind. We just began to create and capture songs throughout the year and eventually found ourselves with this collection of songs that we loved."

At the end of April Elevation Worship along with the church's well-known pastor Steven Furtick will head on a cross country American tour, called Elevation Nights.

"We pray this album finds you on good days and bad ones," the band posted to Facebook. "On mountains and in valleys. And we pray you hear the shout of God’s authority and holiness as you listen, alongside the whisper of his approval and love for you."
