A baby's baptism has been seen by hundreds of thousands of people after his auntie shared a photo of the occasion.

The beginning of the pandemic caused a lot of confusion for those wishing to worship, but a family in Minnesota went viral for their attempt to lighten the mood.

A photo of the Nielsen family's paster holding a water gun aimed at their baby has been shared over 343,000 times on Facebook.

KTTC, a news organization in the U.S says Mary and Kyle Nielsen had scheduled a baptism for their two-month-old son, Wesley James before the virus spread in their state. The family saw that churches were beginning to shut down and decided that it was not safe for them to hold a public baptism.

While the baby never was sprayed with the water gun, Wesley was baptized at home on March 29.
