Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to two separate structure fires in the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

At 12:22, WFPS crews were called to a fire in a one-and-a-half storey single family home in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue. 

Crews arrived to the home and found smoke and flames coming from the structure. Firefighters entered and fought the fire from the inside, it was declared under control at 12:46 a.m.

No occupants were found when crews searched the home. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A few hours later at 3:27 a.m., crews were called to a monitored fire alarm in a commercial building on Lexington Park. 

WFPS found smoke coming from the building and quickly launched an interior fire attack. The blaze was declared under control at 4:12 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation at this time.
