Linden Christian School's valedictorian is looking back on her school experience while looking forward to her bright future.

Tamara Nelson from Linden Christian School says the thing she is going to miss most about high school is the relationships she's made.

"I'm really going to miss seeing my friends and my teachers every day," Nelson says. "It's really crazy and it's a little sad but I think I'm ready for the next chapter in my life."

The class valedictorian says while they did not get the graduation they may have dreamed of when they entered high school, she is thankful for what they can do.

"I think we are sad that we maybe didn't have the graduation that we expected but I think all of us understand that we were given the best grad that we possibly could be given. I think that we're all super excited for what's next."

Next steps

Nelson will be following in her father's footsteps and going to the Asper School of Business, and after that, she has big plans.

"I've always wanted to be a lawyer. That's just always been really interesting to me and then my dad introduced me to the business world and that really just inspired me to pursue that. So corporate law was the in-between."
